The Wonderful Sun Salutation!

Oh the wonderful Sun Salutation!!! The sun salutation is one of the most important parts of a yoga practice, it is a warm up for the entire body, and with regular practice it will strengthen and open the body in ways one never knew. There by opening your body for many other asana. In addition, it is a powerful opportunity to experience the connection of body movement to breath. I like to think of it as active meditation! Proper alignment within the asana is vital to receiving all the benefits each yoga pose has to offer. My intention is that every student will leave this workshop having a confident understanding of the sun salutation and felling that they can find proper pose alignment within their own bodies. In this workshop we will take an in depth look into each asana that composes the sun salutation and we will practice three variations of the sun salutation, as well as variations to each pose. This workshop is suitable for all levels of practice, the beginner and the seasoned practitioner alike, all of us have room for growth in our yoga practice! Namaste! $25

Backbend Your Way Forward

In yoga philosophy the backside of the human body is associated with our past. Many of us, dare I say all humans are holding onto some events, words, or actions from our past and allowing it to affect the way we are living in this moment. We may not even be able to recognize how the past is still influencing our lives, yet it's grip may still be there. This is where the powerful practice of backbends can radically change our lives. In addition to the emotional and phycological shift backbends can bring, they also carry tremendous therapeutic benefit for the spine and the muscles of the back. In this workshop we will practice many different backbends from gentle to deep, as well as disecting each poses' alignment and options for modifications. Take action with me to free yourself from the past and leave it behind as we face the future with strong and flexible backs! This workshop is open to all levels of practice and to every body! $20

Yin Yang Yoga

Yin Yang Yoga

In this workshop we will begin by moving through the Yang portion of the practice, a moderately challenging flow that will serve to warm and gently open the body as well as to help calm and focus the energy of the mind. After the flow we will move into a series of long held, seated Yin poses to open the body even deeper. With a calm mind and a still physical body the practice will conclude with Yoga Nidra, a powerful relaxation technique. My hope and intentions for this time and space is to bring balance of mind to the practitioner and a deeper awareness of one’s physical body. All levels are welcome for this practice! $25
